Supportive housing
The 107 units at the Hazelwood provide low-barrier housing with 24/7 supports. PHS mental health workers are onsite for harm reduction and life skills support, and our food program provides two meals a day. There’s also home support to help residents maintain their independence.
Constructed in 1911, the historic building received a City of Vancouver Heritage Award of Recognition in 2017 following BC Housing’s exterior renovations.
PHS began operating the Hazelwood Hotel in June 2024. This housing is a great fit in our continuum of services, being next door to the PHS-operated New Fountain Shelter and directly above Pigeon Park Savings.
